THE MIDNIGHT RIDERS
SIZZLE REEL
On Midnight Riders, I was responsible for defining the Level Design Direction of the project. I worked closely with both the design and programming teams to develop a range of gameplay prototypes, ensuring the overall design vision was consistent and engaging.
As part of a small and highly collaborative team, I wore multiple hats and took a very hands-on role in building gameplay prototypes using Unreal Engine 5, handling both level layouts and Blueprint scripting.
Among the prototypes I designed include:
-
The deadly explorable stealth section where players must evade deadly creatures.
-
The Paranormal bike escape sequence featuring a collapsing environment and Deadly moving vines.
For these, I created the gameplay ingredients and scripting directly in Blueprints. I also created numerous in-game realizations including scripted sequences, video sequences, Niagara FX and Cinematics.
I also contributed extensively to the Town section, shaping its overall atmosphere and interactivity. My work included:
-
Designing and scripting pedestrian behaviors and city life systems.
-
Creating interactive elements such as the video store clerk and various environmental props.
-
Developing multiple 2D arcade minigames playable within the town’s arcade.
In addition, I scripted most of the game’s UI elements, including the Start Menu and Pause Menu systems.
Midnight Riders was a rewarding and creative project to work on, and I hope you’ll enjoy discovering what our small team was able to achieve.
